Girls and Music: Sampling

urbanlandscape.gifA local authority requires qualitative data on informal music-making in the local area. The authority wants you to collect data from an appropriate sample of young people, and is particularly interested in the extent of girls' involvement in informal music-making. You should assume that you are going to use either structured or semi-structured interviews to collect your data from girls, and that you are going to do the interviews yourself. This may affect the size of your sample.
