Most of the materials here are activities where you can check your understanding of sociological ideas and research. This is a site to use after you have been taught a topic or have done some reading from a textbook. Multiple-choice quizzes give you the best feedback, but you can also check your score on matching items, crosswords, short-answer and gap-fill tests, hangman exercises, timed word searches, drag-and-drop exercises, concentration games, revision jigsaws and decision-making exercises. There are tests and exercises on:
There is also a smaller GCSE section. This consists of quizzes, hangman, matching and wordsearch games, and jigsaws.
This is a password-protected section of the site for students from Cadbury, Brighton and Hove and Itchen colleges. Your teacher will have the username and password, which is the same for all students. |
The site includes a demo of this CD-ROM, which has 47 more exercises in a similar format to those on this site, plus web pages and slideshow presentations for introducing sociology to AS students following Sociology courses from any of the three examination boards: AQA, OCR or WJEC.
Click on ATSS at the top of the screen to see the demo and find information about ordering the CD-ROM. |
